Eric Ries
Founder, CEO
Eric is the founder and CEO of LTSE. He created the Lean Startup methodology and wrote the New York Times bestseller The Lean Startup, which has sold over one million copies and has been translated into more than 30 languages. Ries founded IMVU and served as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Harvard Business School, IDEO, and Pivotal. He was named by Fortune to its 2018 "40 Under 40" ranking of the most influential young people in business.
Michelle Greene
Chief Policy Officer
Michelle brings legal, policy, and operational expertise to her role as Chief Policy Officer. Her experience includes serving in senior roles at the New York Stock Exchange and the US Department of the Treasury, as a consultant with McKinsey & Co., Inc. and as a securities lawyer. She teaches at Columbia University and has served on numerous non-profit boards and as a member of the White House Council on Women and Girls. Michelle is a graduate of Dartmouth College and Harvard Law School.
Martin Alvarez
Chief Commercial Officer
Martin has over 20 years of experience structuring and originating bookrun equity and equity-linked transactions with a total deal value in excess of $50 billion. Prior to the LTSE he ran technology equity capital markets and equity-linked origination at Piper Jaffray and served as a vice president in Morgan Stanley’s global capital markets group. Martin received his bachelor’s degree in business administration in management and finance from the University of San Francisco and a Juris doctorate with an emphasis in securities law from Tulane Law School.
Holly Grant
Head of Finance and Ops
Holly brings a diverse set of financial, operational, and transactional expertise to her role. She manages internal operations, investor relations, and various strategic initiatives. Prior to the LTSE, she supported Raul Fernandez on running, growing, and investing in businesses ranging from sports to fashion to tech. She has a BA in Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia.
Marcus Gosling
VP Product
Marcus leads the product team at the LTSE. A graduate of the Royal College of Art in London, Marcus spent time as a design consultant at IDEO San Francisco and in 2004, co-founded IMVU.com with Eric Ries. In 2010, he left IMVU to head User Experience at Rypple.com - acquired by Salesforce in 2011. Before joining the LTSE Marcus led design at Highway1, a leading SF based hardware startup accelerator.
Tiho Bajic
VP Engineering
Tiho is a serial product builder and is passionate about tools that help people work smarter. Most recently Tiho served as the CTO at Nitro, a smart document productivity company at the intersection of big data, natural language processing, and machine learning. In 2008, Tiho was a founding engineer at Rypple, a social performance management platform later acquired by Salesforce.
Zoran Perkov
VP Technical Operations
Zoran has been building the technical foundations of the US equities markets since 2006. As Global Head of Operations at NASDAQ, Zoran led numerous successful system implementations. In 2012 he joined IEX as Head of TechOps and helped create a new stock exchange. After 20 years in technical roles, he continues to discover new methods of gracefully adapting to complex system failure.
Lydia Doll
Manager, Special Projects
At LTSE, Lydia works on projects ranging from research and policy to exchange operations. Lydia began her career as a business analyst at the NYSE, where she worked on NYSE's electronic block trading platform and in sales and relationship management before helping to develop and grow the corporate responsibility team. Lydia has a BA in Economics from Columbia University.
Hyon Lee
Software Architect
Hyon's experience ranges from writing the first lines of code to building engineering teams. Hyon strongly believes that great engineering culture stems from mutual respect, continuous constructive feedback, and diversity. His most recent startup, Peer, was acquired by Twitter in 2016. Hyon holds Bachelors and Masters degree in Comp Science from MIT.
Beth Andres-Beck
Software Eng Manager
Beth has written code for everything from networking for real-time video understanding systems at BAE Systems to a serverless donation page platform for Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign. She is a proponent of collective code ownership, automated testing, user experience design, and inclusive culture. She has a BA in Theater from Smith College.
Carolyn Dee
Fin Markets and Policy
Carolyn comes to LTSE's policy team from the White House Office of Management and Budget where she served as the Deputy Associate Director of Legislative Affairs. Carolyn has also worked in management consulting and has spent time on Capitol Hill and the U.S. Department of Commerce. She received her Bachelors degree in Political Science from Syracuse University.
Pavitra Bhalla
Product Engineering Lead
Pavitra has both founding team and public company experience. He comes to the LTSE with experience in building cloud platforms and scaling infrastructure operations. Previously, he's implemented SLAM to build fully autonomous indoor flying robots for reconnaissance. He received his Masters degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Santa Clara University.
Ray Shan
Dir. of Product Management
Ray brings his broad experience in business, engineering and design to LTSE. He started his career in Sales and Trading at Merrill Lynch. He has helped grow teams, customer satisfaction and revenue at 10-person startups and Fortune 50 firms. Prior to LTSE, Ray headed the human interface teams at Yewno to build a search engine backed by artificial intelligence.
Leslie Castellanos
Software Engineer
Leslie comes to LTSE from Hackbright Academy, where she taught full stack software development. While teaching coding fundamentals, she also provided guidance to students on scoping and building their individual web applications. Leslie believes that a diverse, inclusive staff leads to a more productive culture and to better products. Leslie has a BA in Anthropology from Pomona College.

Mirna has over five years of Software Development experience working on large projects in the areas of healthcare and telecommunications. She likes learning, helping others and being part of the solution. By excelling in her role she aims to have a positive impact on society and to inspire other women. She holds a BS degree in Information Systems from UNAPEC.

Filip is a self-taught UX/UI designer designing commercially since the age of 16. Based in Europe, he has designed digital products for various startups from Silicon Valley, New York, Denmark, Germany, France and the United Kingdom.
